Spring Hair Bow/ Hair Clip holder

I decided to make a Spring version of my hair bow/ hair clip holders.   My girls do have a three bin compartment with alot of hair accesories in them but I like to have my hand made special bows displayed out in the open.

Links to other Bow Holders Valentines, Halloween, Fall, 4th of July.

I started off with my super of a deal .89 cent chalk board signs from Micheal's clearance section a while back.

Wax paper to cover so I can design without making a mistake.
Like how I first thought I would use the white bird but changed my mind and went with two birds.

Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere them together.
Some Vellum card stock scraps and also some Tombow Mono Liquid Glue again.
I trimmed them down and added more glue.

I started with the center letters and worked my way out to make sure I centered the word Spring.
I am using 22 inches of gross grain ribbon.

One 3/8 inches wide for the center and two 7/8 inch wide for the outside edges.

My grid mat makes placement very easy.
I was going to use 20 inches and glue the two inches but I decided to go with 21 inches and glue down the 1 inch remainder.
All done, I added some tiny black pearls for their eyes.

Side view, sparkly silver thickers I think make it perfect on the black chalkboard frame.
